About

It all started with finger paints at the kitchen table in my childhood home, in a tiny town, in Maine. My mom let me use them, and I was hooked. I don’t think she or I knew it yet, but that moment was the beginning of how I would spend the rest of my life. There was a time when I thought I would be a teacher, or an archaeologist…but eventually the universe molded me into an artist and I just couldn’t escape it!

This is a painting I did of my brother in high school…not with finger paint!

My high school art teachers were influential in helping me choose where to go to school for art. I applied to two colleges and got in to both. One was in upstate New York, and one was in Georgia-15 minutes from the beach. Deciding between long winters or sandy beaches was pretty easy for me!

This is me, my freshman year of College at Savannah College of Art and Design. It is right around the same time that I fell in love with the south and the city of Savannah-it is truly magical! When I graduated with my BFA, I was heartbroken about leaving the city and the last four amazing years behind me.

But, new adventures were waiting for me on the west coast!

I arrived in Los Angeles at the end of August. My dad and I drove across the country together, in a gigantic UHAUL and towed my car behind us.

Los Angeles is such an interesting place. I would come to love it for its grit, its city wide filming set, and its way of creating a story for you. My story started when I ran out of money and locked my keys in my car at a car wash while looking for a job. I landed a job at a well know restaurant and after I was back on my feet financially, I started my freelance art career.

Shortly after that, I met a musician at a bar and eventually he would introduce me to another amazing musician, Joshua Ketchmark. And then my love story began…

We lived in Los Angeles, under the Hollywood Sign for eight years together. We got a dog, named Dresden who we adore!

Then the plot to our story shifted, and life landed us in Nashville. We said our sad goodbyes to those we had met and to a city that had captivated us for such a long time.

Nashville is giving us both the opportunity to pursue what we love. It also gave us a home of our own and our amazing daughter. It is the beginning of our happily ever after!
