Poster Design: Darrylstock

Zak St. John is a drummer and friend that I met while living in Los Angeles. When his father Darryl passed away, they had a party to celebrate his life, complete with live music because Darryl was a gifted musician. Zak asked if I would draw the poster to spread the word about the celebration of his fathers life-and I could not have been more honored. Zak wanted something in the vein of Woodstock, but with a more subtle color scheme. He gave me this amazing photo of his dad to work from and I illustrated him, with Wisconsin (where Darryl lived) in the background.
